Wanton Destruction

April 20, 2011

When I was a kid there were these good-for-nothing kids that used to run around the neighborhood doing bad things just to do it. They did things like putting dog crap in a bag and setting it on fire on someones front porch then ringing the doorbell and running. They would throw eggs at houses. Or they would throw toilet paper all over someones front yard, in the trees and everything. But one thing in particular that they used to do was put sugar in people’s gas tanks.

Now I have never experienced the sugar in the tank trick, and I have never known anyone to have experienced this. But the word on the street is that it can cause a lot of trouble. Again, I have no proof that it does, but if it did, what would you say should happen to the individuals responsible for such actions? Depending on the damage done the penalty should be equally severe, right? Suppose they did it to millions of cars, then what?

At the gas station today I was filling up to the tune of a c-note ($100.00 bill) when I notice the guy next to me filling can after can. Now I go to a station that only has ethanol-free fuel? So I ask the guy, “Why so many cans?” Well, that set him off. Apparently he has several small engines around his house as well as a few boats. He has never read the owners manuals so he just used regular fuel in them. So after spending over fourteen hundred dollars to repair ethanol damage in the last two weeks, in short, he was pissed. I come home and learn that the neighbor has two lawn tractors that are in the shop for the same thing. Some of the people I work with have confided in me that they too are experiencing similar ethanol damage. Are you starting to see where I’m going with this?

Algore has a law degree and he has stated that ethanol was a mistake. Do you think he might be trying to distance himself from the scene of the crime? We let politicians, and environmentalists, and union thugs, and liberals, and socialists, and communists get away with this stuff over and over but had it been the derelict kid from the neighborhood where would he be? I’m so, so sick and tired of this crap. Why is it that we don’t hold these vandals, and that’s just what they are, vandals, accountable for this stuff? They owe me money and I want it. And the worst part is… it continues. That’s right! They haven’t stopped it yet. In fact NASCAR’s endorsing it.

It used to be that you invented some hair-brained thing and you tested it. Sometimes it seemed like forever, just ask the AIDS people how that drug testing crap is going. So how did this crap get stuck in the American fuel supply so fast. I say American fuel supply because nobody else has it. Does that make you happy? So back to my question, what do you think should happen to those responsible? Until next time, screw environmentalists.

Racing Fuel

February 21, 2011

Did you watch the Daytona 500 yesterday? I drifted in and out for the duration while I actually got other things done. I’m not a staunch fan but I do enjoy it from time to time but these restrictor plate races are usually for the birds. I didn’t think they were going to be able to finish. They just kept wrecking. I remember years ago somewhere they wrecked a whole bunch of times, like five, resulting in the rule where they only do it three times now. THREE TIMES. Not too inspiring, huh? Well, the kid that won was only twenty years old. They had to give the champagne to his parents I guess.

But the reason I’m writing is because they were using 15% ethanol. Haven’t the France’s (that would be the family in charge of NASCAR last I heard) gotten the word from Algore yet? You would think they would be among the first to abandon that crap instead they are going the other way. As I said, I am not a staunch fan but this has got me thinking about a complete boycott.

I really would have thought Brian France would have more on the ball than his father, Bill France, Jr., but no. Here it is straight from their own site. There’s a lot of rhetoric in there about “environmental leader” and “long-term sustainability”. What the heck are they talking about? This was released in October of 2010. Here‘s the facts on mileage (third article down). It’s 34% worse. How is that being a leader or sustainable. That even hurts the racing teams (like the France family ever gave a crap about that) with more pit stops.

Again, how is burning MORE fuel long-term sustainability? Especially when it’s made from a food product that is suddenly in short supply because every farmer out there wants that gubmint subsidy for growing corn for ethanol. Stupid makes me sick. This article says that ethanol will increase the very greenhouse gasses that the libs blat about. What the heck? How stupid does it have to get before we start hearing some sense?

The France family must be doing something right. NASCAR seems to be a going concern but it’s just not for my taste anymore. Restrictor plates were bad enough now with this green fuel crap I think I’m done with it. They were complaining about it burning hotter and with the gay way they race (nose in butt) the cars heating up is becoming a factor in the strategy. How sick is that? Well, at least my favorite racing hasn’t been corrupted yet. John Force will soon be at the Gatornationals and looking for a fifteenth, or is it sixteenth championship. 330 mph and no ethanol. Until next time, screw environmentalists.

15% Ethanol

October 18, 2010

I have been hearing mixed reports on this story. First it was mandated that the gas companies were to start selling this. Then it was just a suggestion. Now it has been approved that they MAY do it. But allegedly not everybody is going to do it. WHAT? It’s like that old sit-com from the seventies, Soap. I feel like I should be asking, “Confused?” Isn’t this always the way with these liberal fix-all ideas. They make it so sketchy that nobody has a chance to fight it until it’s all over and it has been shoved down your throat (obamacare). You know, a we’ve got to pass it so we can see what’s in it, kind of thing? This didn’t even get that dog-and-pony show. It was just a decree from the omnipotent EPA. I’m sick of this. Again, what part of the Constitution gave them this power?

Well, again, I warned you, it’s another one that’s rising from the dead. This stuff is pure garbage. There’s just no other way to describe it. It really accomplishes nothing that it was intended to. It does, however, drive up the price of corn food products like tortillas so maybe some illegals will be inspired to leave our fair country. It drives up the carbon footprint of the vehicle burning it. And it has not decreased our dependency on foreign oil. Now don’t that just beat all?

What really flames me is that NASCAR has almost immediately bought into this. Yup, Dale Junior and Jimmie Johnson will be burning this crap. What is it with these people? Don’t they know where their bread is buttered? Read about that here. I can tell you from personal experience, it eats anything rubber in its way. Fuel lines, carburetor floats and gaskets, mechanical fuel pump diaphragms, all toast. Yeah, they say it’s ok for 2007 and newer vehicles. That lets 80% of my fleet out. It’s not so much the fact that it will be offered that gets me as the fact that it seems to become the only thing available after the short introductory period. Two gas stations in my rural county offered fuel without ethanol until one of them was forced to go out of the petroleum transfer business because they couldn’t afford to pull their tanks every five years and look at them. So long mom and pop. I did have a discussion with the guy that owned this station one day and for some reason he loved Chairman Zero. Wonder how that hope and change is working for him now?

After reviewing everything I could find on this edict (see more here) I think I know why people like NASCAR would even consider such a thing. If you’ll look at the last line of the NASCAR article you’ll see it, cleverly secreted, in an article about racing, there it is, “taxpayer-funded subsidizing”. Nice huh? We get to pay for yet another worthless, hair-brained, hippie cluster. Hey, even if you don’t like NASCAR get ready to foot their fuel bill. I hope all the Volkswagen microbus drivers out there will be enjoying that. Until next time, screw environmentalists.

Thank you so much environmentalists for this piece of crap idea. It’s been called the former miracle fuel that isn’t even environmentally friendly. Here are some benefits(?) that you probably weren’t even aware of, moisture mixes with ethanol and causes large amounts of water to form in your tank. If you drive a vehicle with rubber fuel lines any where in the system this wonder fuel eats them and dumps little pieces of crap in your carburetor and injectors. If you have a carburetor with anything but a metal float it will help eat that up too.

But the number one wonderful thing about ethanol is the subsidies. They just keep on coming. But hey, they expire this year. 51 cents a gallon to start with and it can be as high as $1.38 per gallon, read about it here. All this horse feces in the name of..? Anybody? Anybody? Global warming.

Now I hear that the illegals are having to pay 14% more for their tortillas due to corn prices being driven up by..? Anybody? Anybody? Ethanol production. While this is quite an impressive strategy to get rid of the illegals I really don’t think it’s going to work as the prices have risen in Mexico as well.

Oh well, another hair-brained enviroplan gone horribly bad. Can’t say I’ll lose any sleep over this but I do hope those subsidies die a quiet death all alone somewhere. Until next time, screw environmentalists.

If Nixon was indeed a crook the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is the reason. He proposed this cluster that hung its shingle out in December of 1970. This is one hack outfit and I don’t ever recall anything good coming out of it. I don’t expect anything, and the fact that my tax dollars support it sickens me.

The EPA is responsible for most of the BS to come down the loss of freedom pike. All that emission crap strapped to your car that reduces your fuel economy and horsepower are a direct result of this group. Unleaded gas, a perfectly worthless addition to the scene is their baby. Ethanol, the crap of the new millennium, is also a product of their nimble minds. None of this does any good and all of it is detrimental yet the agency continues.

Their latest edict, that carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas, is quite possibly one of the dumbest things I have ever heard. The fact that greenhouse gases do not even exist aside, carbon dioxide is an integral part of our true eco system. The plants need it. They breath it in. They will die without it. Have you ever looked at the picture that they use to describe the greenhouse effect? It’s like a comic, a bad one. For an uplifting story on this subject check out how Virginia is handling it. And as always, screw environmentalists.

You know, a good place to cut the federal budget might be the EPA. Just thinking out loud here. What have they really given us for our $62 billion or whatever ridiculous amount of tax dollars they suck up every year? (You try to decipher the federal budget.)
