The Rules

June 30, 2010

Everybody keeps saying Obama’s oil spill is BP’s fault so they should clean it up alone. I’m not so sure that’s right and proper. You see, the gubmint has been telling private businesses how they can and can’t run their business for decades. Once the gubmint starts telling private business people how they can and can’t do business they should be just as responsible.

Poppycock you say? Well let’s look at it this way, do you think a company like BP would be drilling for oil nearly a mile under the ocean if they didn’t have to? This same oil can be accessed from much more convenient locations. I think I even heard that it could be accessed from dry land. Gee, that sure would be easier to fix now wouldn’t it?

Square biz, water weighs about 2.4 pounds for every foot of height. It doesn’t mater how vast the area is, only the depth matters. At 5,000 feet we’re looking at about twelve thousand pounds of pressure. That is what’s making this so difficult. What kind of hydraulic hoses do you need to operate at that depth? How do you seal an electric motor for that kind of pressure? Can any human ever be expected to withstand this kind of pressure?

As well as the gubmint I think we should have a healthy compliment of environmentalists out there. Until next time, screw them.

Now I like a good mushroom better than most. I love a good Shiitake, Porcini, or Chanterelle and I am particularly fond of Morels. But I’m not so fond of being one. Are you aware of how they grow mushrooms? Basically they keep them in the dark and feed them feces.

Are you all aware that it’s legal for the gubmint to lie to you? Does that sound right to you? As I have said many times it’s legal to distort the news as well. I have a video to sort of prove it. Look here. Why do I keep beating on this? Because there are people out there thinking that Jon Stewart is a newsman. The sad part is he’s probably not as bad as some of the “real newsmen” out there. Terribly sexist of me to call them newsmen isn’t it?

I guess my point today is when you get an e-mail, or hear a “news story” on TV or the radio, and especially when you read some interesting article in the “newspaper” or a magazine, you really need to verify what you are hearing. If possible go to the source. The Library of Congress, the Boy Scouts of America, the Prostitutes Union (yes there really is one, check here). There is a web page for everything I have ever looked for and I usually get the real story there.

The other thing I like to do is a little something God did in the Bible. Verify it by two sources. That’s right, God put everything in the Bible in at least two places by two separate writers. Erie huh? Well, enjoy your mushrooms but avoid being one and until next time, screw environmentalists.

As a ship, capable of cleaning up Obama’s oil spill, steams its way to the gulf where it will probably not be allowed to help, Elena Kagan attempts to weasel her way into the nearly liberal body we call the Supreme Court. I say nearly liberal because they did uphold the Second Amendment today, 5-4.

5-4. Is that a true representation of the American people? I don’t mean the liberal urban hell where you stay, I mean all of America. Yes, if you live in Berkeley, California or Ann Arbor, Michigan, this probably is a true representation of the world as you know it. But beyond those “hallowed halls” of academia the sane world lurks waiting patiently for the libs to kill themselves off through stupidity like abortion and being unarmed in a dangerous world.

You might want to put a little more pressure on your liberal Senators regarding this Kagan thing. But back to the boat. The entire effort to clean this mess to date has yielded a little more than 600,000 barrels. The A-Whale is a converted tanker that can clean 500,000 barrels a day. Let’s see, 600,000 barrels in 60+ days or 500,000 barrels each and every day. I’ll take the A-Whale, pay the man Barry.

You may be wondering why Chairman Zero wouldn’t go for this. Well I’m glad you asked. You see, the A-Whale is owned by Taiwanese and fly’s a Liberian flag. I doubt if the flag or the owners bother Zero but they do bother his union buddies. Is that why Zero won’t wave the Jones Act. By the way, is that named for Ho Ho Ho Green Jobs Czar? Oh well, who needs the gulf anyway? We’ve got LA. To read about the A-Whale click here. Until next time, screw environmentalists.

Constitution Pt. 30

June 25, 2010

Amendment VI. In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the Assistance of Counsel for his defence.

Okay. There is the sixth Amendment. It seems pretty straight forward. If Chairman Zero is charging Khalid Sheikh Mohammed as a felon instead of a war criminal it only makes sense that he would stand trial in New York, right? A lot of people have a big problem with this but the shoe bomber was told by the judge that he is nobody special, just a terrorist and he treated him as such so it only stands to reason that KSM would be treated the same.

The only part of this whole thing that really makes me sick is that I had to add Sheikh Mohammed and KSM to my dictionary in spell check. If we’re not going to treat him as something special why hasn’t Bill Gates got him in there?

As far as a speedy trial goes I think they are dropping the ball on that one. Can I get some litigation out there on that one? How about you KSM? Until next time, screw environmentalists.

June 24, 2010

When I was young I was used to things being done a certain way. The area I lived in was pretty standardized. There was a major city nearby and they had a worldwide industry. Several large corporations ran this industry and as a result all the businesses that made it in the area catered to that industry and it’s employees. Things were done a certain way and everybody followed suit or they went out of business rather quickly. The schools and everything were oriented toward this.

I had heard stories of businesses that ran differently but I had never seen anything like it. As I moved farther from the city I started seeing this first hand. I actually had one business owner tell me, “Well that’s the way I do it.” And I remember thinking how dumb he must be because certainly he would soon go out of business. But he didn’t. I started to realize that life was not standardized.

I learned things like the more responsibility you take the more you are in charge and different people handle this differently. However, as long as they are doing the right thing it really doesn’t matter how they accomplish it. I now have noticed that Chairman Zero is pushing these basic principles to the limit and a lot of people don’t think he is doing the right thing. As his Presidency goes on we are seeing more and more people who think this way put into office. This should result in a good swing towards the gubmint doing the right thing.

Basically, if you allow what other people think of you to determine what you do you are going to be a loser. What does all this have to do with bedtime. Well, in Japan they have decreed that everybody should go to bed an hour earlier to reduce their carbon emissions and help tackle global warming. It’s true, read it here. Have you heard something stupider today? Until next time, screw environmentalists.

Robot Crash

June 23, 2010

Did I not say it was like the Keystone Cops out there? They crashed a robot into the pipe and knocked the cap off? Is that right? Is it just me or does that sound incredibly stupid? So I’m listening to Limbaugh today and he says, as soon as Obama lifted his boot off the neck of BP they screwed up. He took his laser like focus away from his oil spill for one moment and it all went bad. He’s even got me believing we need cap-and-trade now.

What really went on in that meeting the other day? Why did the BP guy go AWOL? Why are people abandoning Dear Leader this way? Could it be that they think some things might get out that may be criminal? Global criminal? Something like say creating a giant environmental catastrophe to forward your socialist agenda?

How is it so much more of a stretch to think that Chairman Zero would do this to pass cap-and-trade than it was to think Curious George would go along with 911 to pass homeland security? It’s all designed to take your God-given rights. We’re all to stupid for our own good anyway, right? We shouldn’t have guns or cars or safety pins. Heck, those lawn mowers are dangerous as can be too.

Maybe we weren’t meant to live like this. Maybe we should all be in dung huts raising rice by hand and crapping in five gallon buckets. At any rate we should apparently not be running robots across the ocean floor a mile down. Until next time, screw environmentalists.

Boy Scouts And Obama

June 22, 2010

Yeah, I got an e-mail today. It was telling me what a small man Obama was. The reason it gave was that he refused to sign some sort of Boy Scout thing. Now I’m no Boy Scout. Never have been. But this kind of got my thong in a wad. So what do I always do when my thong gets in a wad? I write about it. I went to the Boy Scouts Official website to get verification and there it was. A bold-faced lie. The e-mail was bogus.

Talk about a wad in my thong. I had  already sent that e-mail on. All of my contacts have been warned that I don’t verify, I just pass on, but still. I dashed off a terse e-mail expressing my regrets and exposing the BS.

People, let me warn you. Chairman Zero is a communist, a thug, and an all around jackass. These things are coming out regularly. Even “Tingles” Mathews is starting to have his doubts. When we take the time to conjure up false accusations it can only hurt our cause.

We are not fighting over a bad call at the local soccer game here. We are at the point that Benjamin Franklin spoke of when he said, “A Republic, if you can keep it.” Look that up and contemplate it. It’s time to stop the petty BS and get down to business. In case you haven’t noticed the libs don’t have the stomach for a long siege. they’re not even like rats leaving a sinking ship. They’re more like mung dripping out the scuppers. just nurture yours along and we’ll come out of this fine. Until next time, screw environmentalists.

Tea Party

June 21, 2010

Yes. I have been to tea parties. No. I don’t belong to the “tea party”. I don’t even know what it is. Most of the people who attend tea parties don’t know what the “tea party” is. Apparently it’s a bogus bunch of shysters trying to capitalize on the success of the tea party movement.

Something I have noticed is that a lot of mainstream media types and career politicians can’t understand the tea party movement. I have attempted to explain this in short before but now I will get detailed from an attendee point of view. That’s right, an attendee, because the first order of business is you don’t belong. It’s not an organization. So all these shysters claiming to belong are totally out of the loop. They have no idea what they are talking about.

You don’t belong because it’s an idea. An idea whose time has come. If you are a member of the “tea party” you probably don’t have the support of the tea partiers. Why the name? Because modern-day tea partiers desire a return to the ideals of the original tea partiers. We are a Constitutional Republic and not a democracy. To paraphrase an old saying, two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for lunch is a democracy. Liberty is an armed sheep fighting back.

Now, if I have to explain to you what the ideals of the original tea partiers are, you don’t get it. You need to learn this on your own. I do write a continuing piece on the Constitution which should help you quite a bit. We’re up to about part 30 and it happens every Friday now. Archives are available for you to read. There is no fast and hard answer for what you believe and only you can determine that but to help you here is the little quiz. Until next time, screw environmentalists.

Constitution Pt. 29

June 18, 2010

Amendment V.  No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.

So there it is. The fabled “I’ll take the fifth.” A little more involved than Hollyweed makes it sound, huh? Other than spell check’s incessant nagging that offense is spelled wrong (I’ll leave it as they wrote it) it’s a fairly easy to understand Amendment. How about that part about being deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law? Sound like things that a certain Chairman might be doing as we speak?

As always, if you have any questions, comments, or you just want to tell me I’m an idiot or something, just leave them in the comments. Until next time, screw environmentalists.

Entertainment Only

June 17, 2010

I have been perplexed lately as to how many people are ill-informed. Then I heard that Jon Stewart is the number one news source out there. Jon Stewart is a comic folks. I hope I didn’t burst that bubble too quickly for you. The sad part is I can see how people would turn to a comic for their news. He’s probably just as accurate as the regular news folks out there.

I haven’t watched my news for about thirty years. I remember a guy that I thought was kind of reputable until I caught him telling fairy tales that I could prove wrong and I believe he’s dead now. I really don’t know. Another guy became a raging drunk and drifted into obscurity because he couldn’t take the lying any more. I haven’t read a news paper since before that as I realized that they were as liberal as could be early on.

My only source for many years was the radio and word of mouth. I always tried to get verification from several sources, that would usually prove accurate. Fox news came along and I thought they might be reliable for a while but I really am thankful for the internet. One thing that really hurt me was a piece done by some ex Fox News reporters. You can see that here, but as ex employees you have to take it with a grain of salt.

The thing is it just seems like if it’s not sensational or titillating the networks don’t want to report it. Basically I think the news has become entertainment only. Until next time, screw environmentalists.
